Zapotoczny, an author and historian, once said, â€Å"Each of the great powers believed they had something to gain from war, fostering the national pride and the national positioning that made World War I inevitable.† This is true, as imperialism and militarism were a large part of national pride. Austria-Hungary, for example, wanted Serbia. The German military was expanding rapidly. With each argument countries got into, hatred became stronger. Eventually, the European tensions snapped and everything toppled into terrible war. World War I was inevitable due to each of the great powers being imperialistic, militaristic, and prepared for war. During the early 1900’s, the European great powers believed they all had something to gain from expanding. Land in Africa was being claimed by countries such as France and Great Britain. A main goal for all the countries of Europe was growing. Austria and Hungary joined together into a dual monarchy in 1867. This country annexed Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1908. Germany was annoyed at not having as much space in Africa, which is imperialistic because it is territorial. Imperialism was popular during the time. The great powers believed they could become better through imperialism. In this case, imperialism is showing national pride because the expansion of a country makes it more powerful. A) The hypothesis being tested here is the enhancement in the lipase activity of phospholipase C-?1 via phosphorylation of tyrosine 783.B) To perform the experiment equal concentrations of purified phospholipase-C-?1 were set on incubation with the active kinase domain of FGFR2 and ATP in bovine serum albumin containing buffer. The samples of this reactions were tested for two activities: 1) for lipase activity in the phospholipid vehicles indicated in the figure on left y axis. But to maintain this at a moderate rate Woolworth needs to be innovative enough to compete effectively with its competitors. To reduce the threats of the substitutes, company should use quality ingredients and low cost pricing strategy. There are some of the massive firms which can give tight competition to Woolworth in the future. To safeguard themselves from these competitors company should use different marketing strategies such as: provide product at less price, quality product, and focus on customer satisfaction. Along with this, Woolworth needs to decrease the intensity of rivalry among its competitors. The competitors of Woolworth are Coles, wesfarmers, and Aldi and to decrease this rivalry company needs to use different marketing techniques. TOWS model shows the threats, opportunities, weakness, and strengths of Woolworth. Five-force model states the competitive position of the Woolworths in the Australia.
